How did you hear about The White Gallery when you were engaged? I was browsing through the usual wedding blogs and magazines when I came across The White Gallery. Before long, I knew what style of dress I was after and had narrowed my search down to three Northern Irish bridal boutiques. My dream dress was awaiting me in Rachel’s stunning boutique! A friend had previously visited Rachel on bridesmaid dress duties and remarked upon the personalised bridal chalkboard sign upon arriving at The White Gallery. I knew straight away that this boutique was right up my street so I booked in.
What did you enjoy most about your experience at The White Gallery? The abovementioned personalised bridal chalkboard sign upon arriving at The White Gallery truly was a fabulous touch in reality. I was as excited as my little niece/flowergirl at seeing my name on the board! Rachel’s friendly nature and excellent service with a smile EVERY time was impeccable.
I knew that I wanted an aesthetically pleasing dress, something which was super comfortable and not too fussy! Rachel came up trumps and brought out 4/5 dresses which fitted my description down to a tee! I love soft vintage inspired pieces and I wanted a dress that reflected my personaility and style so Sarah Janks’ style was fitting. Choosing between the final two Sarah Janks’ gowns was the trickiest so a return visit with another of my bridesmaids and my Mam confirmed my choice. I was thrilled to learn that the beautiful cap sleeves similar to those on ‘Briana’ could be a tailor made addition to ‘Delilah’ resulting in my exquisite gown!
What was your favourite part of your big day? The whole day from start to finish truly was a dream come true! Seeing dapper Declan awaiting me at the altar made me feel so at ease as I sauntered up the aisle on my Daddy’s arm. The intimate touches throughout our ceremony were tear-jerking. Hearing the chitchat of our guests as they mingled around Little Piggy’s quirky vintage citroen munching on home-baked scones & cookies in the country churchyard was incredible. Our pre-dance sparkler send-off under the big tree in Tankardstown as the autumn chill cut the air, was breath-taking. It was the day we envisaged, our favourite day!
Have you any tips for brides-to-be?
When choosing your dress, narrow it down to a few styles so that you’re not overwhelmed when you arrive at the boutique and try to be open-minded in your selection. Oh and the heel protectors for my Jimmy Choos whilst walking on the lawns were the greatest little handbag essential of the day! For the woodland photoshoot, the wellies were an essential. Be grateful for every second of that day. It’s the day when millions of tiny moments that create your love story happen.
