Date of Wedding: Our wedding was on the 6th November 2014 in Kilbride church co Meath
Location/Venue: Ballymagarvey Village, Ashbourne, Co Meath. It rained for most of the day; please don't let anyone lead you to believe that the weather matters! Our wedding was a little ball! So full of love, everyone was together all day and actually the weather kept us all together more! A winter’s day with all of our loved ones.... Perfect
Husband’s Name: I married Bán Kelly my first love! We had been boyfriend and girlfriend since the age of 15. Our long history only added to the magic of the day. We had planned this since our early years.
Photographer: Eric Savo. We did not want jumping up and down and forced smiles and faked atmosphere. Eric is none of those things! I felt it was all natural, and special! I couldn't be happier with his work.
The Dress: My perfect dress was Eve by Rue De Seine…a designer exclusive to The White Gallery in Ireland.
How did you hear about The White Gallery when you were engaged? I had started my hunt for the perfect dress online and came across the Rue De Seine brand. When I found out it was available in Ireland I knew I had to make the short journey to the North of Ireland to "The White Gallery".
What did you enjoy most about your experience at The White Gallery? This is the only place I went to that gave me the true bridal experience, with a welcome note at the door, tea and shortbread and decor to die for!!! It was love at first sight and that was before Rachel took the time to introduce us to all her dresses. I tried on maybe eight... But my sister says when Rachel held up Eve I gasped!!! And on me, well I didn't want to take it off. Rachel didn't rush us one bit! Even though I'm pretty sure I spent 30 mins seeing what I'd look like dancing, eating, walking etc etc...
What was your favourite part of your big day? Our ceremony was a tribute to our love and we enjoyed it all. Our venue was a dream, staff were so warm and helpful. The use of the house sets a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
When our guests were seated in Ballymagarvey's banquet hall for dinner we were introduced to the room as Mr and Mrs Kelly. We entered and everyone was standing, one of our favourite songs Thin Lizzy's”Dancing in the moonlight” was playing; we bounced into the room throwing our arms up to the music, skipping our way through the crowd everyone was buzzing. It was our favourite part of the day.
Have you any tips for brides-to-be? Remember this is what you worked so hard for. You deserve to enjoy it so don't stress if you are worried someone wouldn't enjoy themselves; that's their fault! Don't waste your precious time on trying to make their day, because it's your day! Make sure you can move in your dress! Mine was so light weight I can't stress how comfort is so important for you and your bridesmaids. Don't worry about the weather! :)
