When Sarah first told us she was getting married in Les Arcs 1950, in the French Alps, we couldn’t quite believe what she was saying! Having just received her wedding photos it’s easy to see why she chose such a picturesque location for saying her wedding vows! This may just be one of the coolest weddings of 2018!!!!!!!!!!! Sarah chose the stunning OLSEN dress by our chic French Designer Rime Arodaky - we’ve got this iconic dress back in the boutique this season!!!
The art of ballet is what inspired Rime Arodaky’s 2019 collection…exploring the depths and effect of movement, our favourite French designer has created a stunning collection for this season. Here’s some of our favourites from the collection!
Bolero - romantic wrap effect dress in crepe and tulle applied with roses pattern embroideries; stunning back featuring crossed straps.
Coppelia - Swooning over this off-shoulder crepe dress with delicate floral applied tulle in the front and back of the dress…featuring a stunning floral tulle train.
Osta & Bessy - In love with this modern two-piece; crepe top and skirt with delicate roses embroidered on the tulle back of the top and features on the skirt and train also.
Livry - Beautiful tulle waterfall sleeve dress with striking button detail, fitted silhouette that is super flattering.

Located on the Great Western Greenway in the most scenic of locations is Mulranny Park Hotel - chosen by Fionnuala & Alan for their summer wedding earlier this year.
Perched on a unique site overlooking Clew Bay & Croagh Patrick Mountain beyond this stunning Victorian style hotel was the perfect setting for Fionnuala’s relaxed vibe she wanted on her wedding day. She chose Foster by French designer Laure de Sagazan…here’s some snap shots of her beautiful day.

Helen and Donncha’s gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony was set in a enchanted woodland on the estate of Inishbeg. They were so lucky and had the most fabulous weather to show the beauty of their venue. The wedding reception was in a marquee, styled beautifully and romantically by their wedding designer and florist to encapsulate the overall magic of the location.
Helen and Donncha wanted a relaxed fun day of celebration with their family and friends, Helen choose a gorgeous two piece by Halfpenny London to wear on the day. The gorgeous Iris slip and Lily skirt fitted in beautifully with the venue choice and floral styling.

The gorgeous Emma got married back in July when we all thought we were having a never ending summer (looks like the Irish summer is back to stay!). Emma choose a beautiful dress by Laure de Sagazan for her stunning venue - Trump Doonbeg! (It looks very much like the French Riviera in her wedding photos). We love everything about this wedding...how awesome is the wedding cake...the floral pop of colour is gorgeous! The bridesmaids all choose a dress to suit each of their personalities and complement the relaxed vibe! We have to give Emma's handsome husband Bryan a mention....his style is on point! (Photography by Shane O'Sullivan).

We put together a few favs we’ve come across...ranging from stunning designer styles to the best from the high street! For you gals with a serious shoe fetish here's our top picks!!!!!!!!!

So you’ve just got engaged, you’re beyond yourself with excitement (of course!!) and you simply can’t wait to start looking for the perfect wedding dress!!
We’ve put ourselves into your (amazing) shoes and put together a few Q&A’s to hopefully make finding the #dreamdress most enjoyable and so you know what to expect!
When do I start to look for my wedding dress?
Our #twgbridetribe tend to prioritise #thedress and start looking around 10-12 months before their wedding date.
When do all the new season collections arrive?
The 2018 collections have ALL now arrived…these stunning collections have been arriving during October / November months. We only update our collections once a year so the 2019 styles will launch in the boutique in October / November next year!
How many boutiques should I make appointments with?
We recommend 3-4 boutiques is more than enough – do your research and visit boutiques that stock designers that you are most interested in trying on!
How long does it take for a wedding dress to arrive once I’ve placed my order?
The approx. lead time is 6-9 months with our designers and in an ideal world we love to have your dress here at least six weeks prior to your wedding – so don’t leave ordering too late!!
What if I don’t have 6-9 months?
We are very sensitive to the fact that some brides don’t have the luxury of time and for those brides we do our best to work with our designers to ensure we can get a dress here within a tighter time-frame. We also have a fab #secretsale room dedicated to gorgeous dresses that you can purchase ‘off the rail’.
So, I’ve ordered my dress – what’s next?
We love helping our brides with any other styling advice so keep in touch with us and we will do the same!! We’ll advise you when your dress is due in closer to the time and will get you booked in your first fitting.
Where and when do fittings take place?
Your first fitting is approx. 6 weeks prior to your wedding (if you order well in advance and your dress comes in you are welcome to come try it on!!!). We have our very own in-house seamstress (who is amazing!) and you meet her here at the boutique. Fittings can be arranged in advance and any time between 9am-5pm Monday – Friday.
How many fittings are there?
It’s fundamentally important that you come prepared to your first fitting –by that we mean have your shoes and lingerie with you. At your next fitting if your dress fits perfectly then that is your final fitting! Occasionally there still may be a few minor alterations required, and if our seamstress can do those at this fitting she will, otherwise we arrange another date to come back for final fitting.
Do I pay for alterations?
We are one of the few bridal boutiques that have our own in-house seamstress and we extend that service to all our brides who purchase a new dress. There is a fee for alterations and you can expect to pay between £150 - £300 depending on each bride’s requests.
What is the best piece of advice you can give me?
You want to be the best possible version of yourself on your wedding day – so please yourself first and foremost, choose a dress that you absolutely love, want to keep on all day and sleep in! Consider your budget before booking appointments and be open to trying on something the stylist would choose for you!!
We will soon be in what is ultimately my favourite season….Winter! In wedding terms it’s not one of the most popular seasons to get married…however it is one of the busiest times of the year for girls shopping for their dream dress! It’s a time that brings much excitement; our new collections arrive into the boutique - which is always met with great anticipation! This season brings lots of new engagements and of course Christmas – my favourite time!
Perhaps Autumn/ Winter weddings are less popular here because of the dark evenings (shorter photographic opportunities) and the usually cold and wet weather! I have found some beautiful images that may just sway a few people to reconsider the date they chose for their wedding!
There are so many beautiful colours (we have a burgundy obsession at TWG) and textures that epitomise the Autumn / Winter season…you are literally spoilt for choice for styling your wedding during these months!
Sitting here swooning over our gorgeous bride Aine and her romantic wedding …Aine knew exactly how she wanted to look on her wedding day and quickly knew her wedding dress was ‘the one’. Aine first visited the boutique with her #bridetribe and fell totally in love with the gorgeous Bukowski by Laure de Sagazan. She was quick to make a second appointment and brought along her nearest and dearest to confirm her choice!
We just adore the photography from her big day and found it so difficult to pick our favourites!

Last week we hosted a stunning event (if we do say so ourselves!) to showcase our designers’ 2018 collections…we probably say it all the time, but we’re so thrilled to be the exclusive stockist of all of our designers in Northern Ireland and Ireland. So this really was the first and only opportunity for fashionistas, media, online influencers, fashion bloggers and industry peers to view the collections in person!
We chose Saphyre, Lisburn Road, Belfast, (if you’ve not checked this amazing restaurant out you simply have to) with its boudoir vibe and luxurious interiors, it was the perfect setting for our event which coincided with New York Bridal Week – deemed as one of the industry’s most prestigious bridal markets.
NI fashion designer and illustrator, Sara O’Neill, was our fabulous compere for the evening which began with a bubbly drinks’ reception in the stunning surroundings of Kris Turnbull interior’s showroom.
Head chef at Saphyre – Joery Castel – had our taste buds exhilarated with mouth-watering canapes…the white chocolate and banana spheres & coconut and lime macaroons were a huge hit!
Showbiz-Stylist and acclaimed wedding designer, Kate Halfpenny – founder of Halfpenny London – flew over to be our VIP guest and to introduce her Garden after the Rain collection. IN between presenting her new collection; Kate entertained guests with an insight to all the shenanigans that goes on behind the scenes when styling some of the world’s most iconic women including Kate Moss!!
A snippet of the stunning dresses by Rime Arodaky, Laure de Sagazan, Idan Cohen & Rue De Seine...at the launch event
Aoife from Sass & Halo joined us for the event and we adored her floral hoops and headpieces which complimented our boho styles perfectly!
Super stylish Aoife from Sass & Halo with her equally as glamourous mum enjoying pre-event drinks!
A special thanks to Tilly Thomas Lux who loaned us the most amazing pieces from her collection to style with Halfpenny London’s collection…of course I had to borrow a pair of dazzling earrings to show off with my ‘Cheryl’ dress from Kate’s ‘Black Edit’ collection!! (The Cheryl dress is also in Ivory and equally as sumptuous!)
Some more of our favourite Halfpenny London pieces modelled on the night....
Here's a few of the guests who joined us for our preview of the 2018 collections....
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took time out of their hectic schedules to come along! We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!!!
A special thanks to the team that made it all happen – Riki, Jill & Jolene from RNN Communications; Tracey & her gorgeous models from Style Academy; Cathy Murray for her smoky & sexy make-up; Cara for the effortlessly chic hair styles; and to the team at SAPHYRE – we’ll be back!
Excitement levels are through the roof this week at the boutique! Everyday we’re receiving photos into our inbox from our stylish brides…crickey they are all friggin' gorgeous!!
This week we are hoping to inspire you with our gorgeous boho-babe Kathryn and Connor’s wedding at Drumhalla House, Donegal. We’ll always remember Kathryn’s first appointment at our boutique. Her sophisticated and beautiful Aunt Frances had been in the boutique earlier that day and found her perfect wedding dress by Halfpenny London! So everyone was in fabulous form! Kathryn was a super-confident bride whose vision was to have a bohemian-inspired wedding bursting with colour, textures and most importantly relaxed and fun!!
Kathryn herself thanks us for picking out the Haze gown by Rue de Seine for her which turned out to be ‘the dress’. She styled it with a Juliette cap fingertip veil which complimented the stunning silk/cotton fabric with abstract/asymmetric design. We adore Kathryn’s natural makeup and her bridesmaids too...and guess what...they only did their own makeup!!! Kathryn's tousled hair was styled by Fusion Hair in Ramelton.
Kathryn’s bride tribe embraced the boho vibe with the individual dresses in different colours which looked totally awesome!! Set to be a big trend, Kathryn was ahead of floral fashion with her ‘floral hoop’ created by one of our fav creatives Aoife Doherty, Sass & Halo! Stepping away from the traditional bouquets – the floral hoops epitomised Kathryn’s overall vibe for her wedding day! So sit back with your coffee and chocolates (of course) and enjoy these pics we’ve chosen from K&C’s wedding captured so beautifully by Paula Gillespie Photography!
Can you pic a favourite? We struggled!!
Love, TWG xx #twgbridetribe (send us your pics to get featured right here!)
When we first met Leah we just knew she was a girl with class! We adored her visits to our boutique with her equally as elegant mum...and when her wedding pics hit our inbox earlier today we just couldn't wait to share them with you!!!
Leah chose the utterly amazing Laura Drape Top by Halfpenny London and styled it with the Swan Skirt by Halfpenny London. We customised the Laura top so that it was slightly shorter to show off Leah's amazing waistline!! (It was delicately sewn so that it can be let down again so that Leah gets to wear Laura on lots more occasions!!!). Leah finished her look with the most beautiful three-tier drop diamond earrings that belonged to her Great Grandmother.

Have you heard the exciting news that we have opened The Secret Room upstairs at The White Gallery?
The Secret Room contains lots of hidden gems…all the dresses from last season that we have had to remove from the main boutique to make way for our new season collection. These fab dresses are in excellent condition, all half price or less and all available to take home on the day!! The Secret Room is brilliant for a bride who is time restricted and needs to find her perfect dress quickly! All of the dresses are a size UK 10 or UK 12 and can be altered to fit size 6/8 or 10…we can recommend lots of amazing seamstresses to do the necessary alterations.
Some advice for your Secret Room appointment….
- If you have gorgeous shoes that you want to wear on your wedding day make sure you bring these with you….as all the dresses are ready to purchase you might want to check the length
- Be sure you bring someone with you who can help advise you but will also allow you to make your own choice….there is only one of each dresses available and once sold we are unable to re-order……so you will want to be pretty decisive on the day.
- Remember to bring money in case you fall in love with your dream dress….as the dresses are a one off we cannot hold without a deposit.
The Secret Room has dresses by Rime Arodaky, Laure de Sagazan, Yolan Cris, Halfpenny London, Divine Atelier and many more! Book your appointment with us today and see if we can help you find your perfect dress!
